About Us

The Ship Agents and Brokers’ Association at Gdynia and Szczecin have merged on the 1st of November 1995 under the former name of the POLISH SHIPBROKERS’ ASSOCIATION, an organisation for all engaged in the profession of shipping agents in Poland.

The Polish Shipbrokers’ Association aims to provide high standards of conduct and practice, promoting a high level of education, experience and maintaining a sound shipping agency system, according to the Minimum Standards recommended by UNCTAD.

Polish Shipbrokers’ Association is a member of FONASBA / ECASBA:

The Federation of National Associations of Ship Brokers & Agents (FONASBA) provides a united voice for the world’s ship brokers and agents. Founded in 1969, the organisation promotes fair and equitable practices and ensures that the needs of our members are understood at international, regional and individual national level across the maritime industry.

The European Community Association of Ship Brokers and Agents (ECASBA) is a sub-committee of FONASBA. Originally established in 1990 as FONASBA’s European Committee, ECASBA was created in 1993 to represent European brokers and agents in their dealings with the European Union.
